Josh practices general commercial litigation for clients in the healthcare, energy, construction, and insurance industries. Josh’s litigation experience includes serving as second-chair trail counsel in a commercial dispute representing a multinational commodities trading company, and serving as first-chair trial counsel in a pro bono dispute. He has experience representing clients in state and federal courts in Texas and New Mexico, including preparing for and attending arbitration, mediation, and discovery hearing, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing substantive pleadings and discovery, interviewing clients, and managing large-scale discovery projects.

Josh also actively volunteers his time as a pro bono attorney for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), Catholic Charities, and YMCA International. Josh is an active member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association, the Garland R. Walker Inn of Court, the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, Christian Legal Society, and is a teacher at Houston’s First Baptist Church.  

Outside of work, Josh enjoys running and competing in triathlons, international travel, and spending time with his family.

  • Trial counsel for an offshore drilling contractor in a Jones Act dispute in Harris County;
  • Trial counsel for an overseas pipeline company in a commercial dispute in the Western District of Texas;
  • Arbitration counsel for a multinational construction company involved in a multi-party commercial dispute before the AAA;
  • Pro bono counsel for various asylum cases before USCIS and the Board of Immigration;
  • Trial counsel for a publicly-traded energy company in a commercial dispute;
  • Coverage counsel for a manufacturer in a products liability dispute;
  • Coverage counsel for a construction company involved in a personal injury dispute;
  • Successfully represented physicians involved in disputes before the Texas Medical Board;
  • Favorably resolved a Texas Prompt Pay Act dispute between a corporate healthcare provider and insurance provider;
